As an admirer of some bark carving I've been on a mission. Authorative sources have informed me the that cottonwood trees do n't grow in Europe. We had a holiday in Cracow last month and there in the market place were some bark carvings. The sellers English and my lack of Polish made enquiries a no no. So I contacted a carving buddy, Romek he tells me poplar and lime bark is used. No reason to doubt him. So what about the other side of the pond, which or what barks are used? like I said I'm on a mission ans we Scots are stubborn *&^% folk. |
