Ash? Is your Good Lady gonna end up taking my name in vane? I might suggest that you post a thread about where to buy basswood and butternut blanks on the net before she comes after you!

Ash,
Next time you come up to Baltimore let me know. You were only 10 minutes from my shop. It would be great to meet a fellow carver and give you what we call the "Sawdust Tour". Fellow Carvers never leave the shop before going thru my scrap pile and I will throw in a Santa blank on the house.

Goody ,

I get to Baltimore alot. Durning football season, if the Ravens are at home chances are I am there. I would love to visit your shop. Just let me know where it is , and the wife and I will plan a day. She loves baltimore, we went to the National Aquaimun so she could see the dolphins, but they were closed, at least that section, seems theres a new baby in there. Now she is pushing to get back as son as they reopen that section.
I know were planning on your Christmas weekend. The candlelight tour sounds too good to pass up.

I got brave and I posted my first attempt at a relief carving. I drew it freehand. It's not as good as others but it's a start. I tried making it as an attachment but this was the smallest I could get as it was my first attempt at placing photos in the computer, which is why it's a little fuzzy.. I don't understand how this digital stuff works.

Ash, How did I miss that you had posted a new sailing ship carving!!! My apologizes. I still am learning how to find new posts on this forum. The map work is great and the ship really has wonderful shape and form. Very, Very, nice.

Ken, Glad you decided to join the posting. Wonderful nativity scene. I really like how you have captured St. Joseph. I know that you were working in a very shallow space yet Joesph has a good feeling about how his face, chest, and arms fall in relationship to his body. The star is perfect! I hope that you can get a crisper image some time.

Susan
