Ok Gary! I just gotta ask. Those three Santas of yours are so cleanly carved. I know they are "finished". Deft, wax, whatever; but before you spray, brush, dip; do you do anything else to them? I 'm beatin round the bush.....do you dip em in liquid sand paper, sand them, or what? You're probably going to say...#@&**?=@# NO! that's the way I carve em....But I just had to ask..Thanks

Tom H

If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert , in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.

Hello Folks, thank you for the coments!

Tom H: hehe, I never sand a carving, I do however scrape with the edge of a knife or skew at times. Clean carvings come from sharp tools and the good use of stop cuts. I am a stickler about clean carvings. I use a magnifying visor when I am doing details and cleaning up on a carving.

Santa Gibbs: I love you Santa, you a picking up right were your Husband left off!

I havent gotten it yet you guys, give me another year, then mabye I'll be as good a Mark Akers or Mark gargac, those guys are good!

I have been carving Santa face ornaments. It's easier for me to direct everyone to my web site.....click on Christmas carvings at the bottom of the first page, then scroll down to Christmas Carvings 3. My 2007 Frosted Over Santa Ornaments have been keeping me busy and out of trouble?
