Default This weeks carvings 5 new woodspirits

Hi gang,
Just finished putting the finish on five carvings I have completed so far this week. They are all carved out of eastern white cedar. Of course they are woodspirits although I really plan on maybe doing some Santa's soon. I have posted them on Picturetrail under the woodspirit album of course same as usual any comments yea or nay would be most welcome I thrive on critisism it can only make you better at what you do.

Follow the above link to view the carvings.

A nice looking crew. If there were only 4, you might think they were a barbershop quartet!

They're all great Colin, five in a week , oh to be able to carve even half that fast!!
I agree with Dave, my favorite is the middle one! They are all terrific though, thanks for sharing! Callynne

All are great, Colin, although I agree with Callynne, I would love to get that much done in a week. Lucky if I finish one carving a month!

Colin,
It's amazing what you accomplished in a week. Wow...

I agree, I'm still working on a new handle for one of my carving knives that I started at least a week ago. I'm making it out of mahogany--My wife got it for free from one of her clients, and since I have these enormously long thin fingers, most carving knifes are not comfortable for me for any long period of time, so I'm slowly replacing the handles of the knifes I've bought over time.

As usual, super stuff Colin.
Think about putting a Santa hat on one of those guys, huh? And don't worry about paint......your carving speaks for itself.

You got a basketball team there Colin. Â*They are all good but there is something about the guy in the middle who is trying to be the center of attention. Â*It would be hard to pick out a favorite but since we are voting in the US this year, I'll practice. Â*I'm casting a tie vote for middle left, and far right.
It would be difficult to decide which to enter in a contest.

Wow. They really look great Colin. When I first looked at the picture and saw that their mouths were all shaped the same, I thought of them as a barbershop 'quintet'.
