Love your woodspirits and your web site. I only carve woodspirits only I call them tree spirits. That is probably because I now pretty well exclusivly carve in tree's and tree stumps. I have been carving seriously now for about 4 years and have probably carved three hundred spirits in that time. What I love about them is that there are never two the same and as you say they dont have to be anatomically correct if the features are a little off it makes for a better carving.
