Default Wears Feathers Elf

Hi All:
Please meet 'Wears Feathers' Elf a few of you folks ask me about an Indian theme. Which I had been thinking about doing and Indian elf.
Had great fun carving this one, added some woodburning and a pair of 'metal and tourquoise' earrings. I used the same finishing technique as the others.
I forgot to mention that I cut up a metal alumninum can and shaped it for the earrings. I've read that is what the Indians on the prarie did with cans discarded by the pioneers. They were also sewn onto garments and ceremonial dance wear, and I guess anything else they could think of.

As always I appreciate hearing from you,
Kathy

Hi Ron T and Tom H

Hello, guys thank you, both for returning to see what silly elf I come up with next. I thank you for your nice compliments and encouragement.
Tom H, were you refering to an 'Elf Exchange', you know that would be fun. As for the Christmas Exchange I'd have to down size these elves a bit in order to have enough for the Christmas Exchange. lol

Kathy "NOW STOP THAT") are you tryin to out do Mark, is so your doing a good job at it. How very creative you are, I'm sorry, I really don't care that much for the feathers, but the wood burning is superb and the earings add a little something as well. Sorry, don't wanna dump yer cart, I just calls 'em as I sees 'em. I guess I'm mostly jealous cause I can't do one.

What can I say Kathy. Ya just keep on. Excellent carving. I love it.

Ya know, I was cleaning out some paperwork and I came across a note you sent with your bery first ornament. Remember? It was 2006 and baby, you have come a long long ways with your carving. I am not saying the 2006 ornament wasn't good as it was and I cherrish it as I know I will always have a Mottles carving.

Way to go gal.
