| | Walt Marston & his work???? I was recently in Gatlinburg, TN and saw a hand carved rocking horse that was signed Walt Marston in one of the craft shops. I was told by the proprieter that the individual had been creating animal carvings (3-5 feet tall and larger) for 20-30 years but I have not been able to find any other information about this person or his works. I would be greatfull if anybody has any information.
Thanks, Billy Dale |

I moved you post into the General section--I think you will get more responses there. The Author forum is primarily for direct questions to specific authors. I also have that section set up that all posts require moderation from myself or one of the moderators.
Best regards,
Bob Duncan

| | Re: Walt Marston & his work???? Billy, You might want to contact both antique dealers and estate appraisers in the Gatlinburg area for more info on your carver. They probably could give both some information on the person as well as some current market value for his work.

| | Re: Walt Marston & his work???? Billy, hi and hello to the site! I happened to see this question while checking the web for some of his other art and came across your question. As you may have gathered, by my name, im either his mother, sister or wife... ok, I'm his wife of 28 years (G)! I have watched him evolve and perfect some of the most beautiful pieces...(I am not an artist, LOL) and each time before he's done, I hear him say "next time I will do this differently..." and the next one is better than the last... ANYWAY (LOL)thought you'd enjoy this picture, it was finished last year for a gentleman in Florida... but feel free to contact us via email if you'd like to see his guitars, animals, gungrips, holsters, or furniture!!! best regards, Pam Marston | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
