Default Viperstooth do you have a minute?

I have just seen your quilt block in the gallery. Its so neat! Could you tell me more on what this quilt is? How is it assembled? What size are the blocks? Is it all glued or nailed to a main board when its assembled? Are all the wood blocks the same type of wood?

We have a family reunion coming up next summer and for some reason this quilt idea has my interest as far as putting one together of all the states the family is from. With other interests put in that quilt. I havent thought it out on how or who will get it yet, maybe a raffle with the $$ going to a charity or something. Or to help pay the host of the reunion.

Please if you dont mind.. share with me some details on this wooden quilt.

i have never personally put one together but i think i will glue it on a board and have some sort of spacer in between each square so it covers up the joints and make it look cleaner.but the square was for an online quilt susan irish came up with the idea,i think they were gonna take each picture and make a quilt out of it.but i,m gonna put it in my own quilt to and thats how i think i,m gonna do it unless someone else has a easier way to do it the square is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 .
hope this helps ron

You did help. Thanks. I've talked to my sister about maybe putting one together for my mom instead. It would be fun to have all family members draw on one square and then to carve them out.

I'm still working on this idea. Thanks for the information. Marci.
