Default Union Soldier

I carved this guy for a friend who is a history buff and is related to an officer on the Union side. Basswood approx. 5 inches.
Thanks for looking.

I like it too. Nicely done. How big is it? What kind of wood?

Very well done, Lundy! That facial expression is priceless: war-weary, determined, saddened, etc., all rolled together.

Lundy,
Great Job! All I can say is that is great detail around the nose and eyes. I hope It is ok, I down loaded a copy of this to my desk top for reference material on the eyes and just general facial detail. Like many I struggle in that area and thought that this was excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Safe carving and God Bless,

Mark
