And, Di, it appears like you have certianly shown up each day for the past month or so. You have put out an amazing number of finished pieces lately and all of them are first rate!

Good luck with this deadline Millard! I know you work will continue to be excellent from the first carving until you finish with your last! It is a lot of work to get that many pieces finished, but the reward will come when people receive them as gifts. Keep up the good work my friend!

Blake

Thanks, Blake.
I enjoyed looking at your carvings on picturetrail. Are you carving Santas again for Christmas this year?

Yep, doing more santas for Christmas again this year. I sale my ornaments at a local co-op and usually start getting busy around September and stay busy until Christmas. I appreciate you taking a look at the picturetrail....I haven't posted anything in a while but have a few new santas that I will probably put out there.

Good luck with getting your project finished....I feel your pain!

Millard,

Love the special touch you gave the hats brim, really sets it off and draws your eye to it very fast. All your faces are "True Santa's", good luck with the 50 and I hope next year you need to do 75. Bill

The only reason I post all those at one time was the computer crashed and I got new programs that I am learning how to use....plus too darn lazy to take photos.... I am learning and slowly, been putting out one about every two weeks or so.. snail pace and I am still cutting myself.but we will live, thank for your support..LOL Di

Blake- Hurry! Get the new ones on! I'll steal or adapt as many detail ideas from them as I can. LOL

Bill- If Blake pulls through for me, maybe I can think of some more "special touches". The hat brim seems to be one thing you can adjust to make a piece unique....just as long as the band remains mostly white. If you don't do that a lot of folks consider that blasphemous! As for 75? Uh,....I don't think so.

Di- You are still not letting any grass grow under your feet. Your detailed pieces have to be keeping you working pretty steadily. Be careful! Don't cut yourself, my friend. I know you are learning quickly.

Toeknee - 100 planned! That makes spots before my eyes and my ears ring! Specially the painting part, but with your enthusiasm for carving( I just reread your "Carving is the best hobby ever" post) I imagine it is a breeze for you. Thanks for reminding us all of the joys of woodcarving!

Millard....I've seen your work and know you can't learn anything from me. I sure would like to take one of your classes though if you ever decide to come to tennessee!!!
