| | Two projects completed Here is the woodspirit that I completed last week and I chose to just add oil and some dark satin wax to bring out his features. I also burned in the eyes rather than paint them.
The other little guy came from some waste wood from the gargoyle I'm slowly working on. He's about the size of a hand. Playing around with another expression...so he's supposed to look surprised. Thanks for looking.

| | Re: Two projects completed Love how the first one turned out Patrick, the finish makes him come alive. He reminds me of an old Celtic or Norse warrior. The second is an interesting study, more passive.

I use it with almost every carving now. Not only does it bring out the details, it seems to give the carving an aged look that people seem to like in the carvings.
