Default Two with Natural Finish

The Librarian book end is red and white cedar and the scream book end is one block of black walnut with both heartwood and sapwood (the red cedar and black walnut were found wood).

Nice book ends, William. Is that the natural red cedar, or did you use a stain on it?

Thanks Claude,
that's the natural color of the red cedar but it turned that sharp red color when the clear sanding sealer was applied.

Thank you Forest, I'm really having a good time trying different things and different kinds of wood.
I ordered some cottonwood bark yesterday and don't have a clue what to do with it yet, they sell it by the pound but how big is a pound..lol, thats a new one on me.

Thanks Gene, I found out my basswood tools don't work very well on that hard as a rock walnut so it ended up being a self portrait. hehe
