Default Trip to Prescott

My wife and I found out thru Kathy (Mottles) about a woodcarving group in Prescott Arizona, we went over Saturday and its a good up and coming group, growing like mad! But while there we had the privilege of meeting Kathy....what a nice lady, she had some of her woodburnings with her, and I can tell you, photos do not do them justice! Good Job Kathy and thanks for telling us about the "Wood-Bee-Carvers"!! CowboyTalking

Dave/Kathy does this group hold meetings on Saturdays, or have a place that is open to the public all week long, as in a storefront or something? Kathy, do you display your work anywhere? The wife and I, usually try to get to Prescott sometime during the Christmas season.

No they don't have a storefront, they meet in the seniors center on the 2nd and 4th saturdays of the month..they start at 8:00 and go until 2:00 they said, but the one time we went, they shut down about noon. the center is located on the corners of Pleasant and Aubrey, go west on Gurley and turn south on Pleasant...if you have the same Prescot map we have, the center is identified on the corner ....Dave (those directions are coming in on 89 as we do)

Dave, thanks for the info. It is always fun to cruise around Prescott, and it takes about two shakes of a lambs tail to talk the wife into hitting the antique stores, although she will suspect I am angling towards another research project down Whiskey Row.
Still wondering if Mottles shows her work in any of the shops, what I have seen has been very interesting.
I will e-mail you if we go down, and maybe meet up.
Thanks again,
Jim
