Default Trichthyology

This little 19" critter was just a little fun project. No one will ever see it, except for people who read this and if one comes to my house, because it will never leave the house. It is made from some left over spalted maple and mounted on a walnut pylon fastened to a plum board. The whole thing is finished with natural danish oil.

How many of you have figured out the meaning of the title? As you can see, the critter is basically a fish but done entirely in triangles. Hence, I think it is a combined study of ichtyology (fish) and trigenometry (triangles). Voila, Trichtyology.

Not a particularly good piece, certainly not my best work, but FUN.............
