Default Re: The tree of life - South Africa "Walt Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom"

Yeah - Jerry's work is something that has resonated with me ever since I first saw it back in my 20s when I too was heavily into photography. Very haunting surreal composited images (for those who don't know his work). Do a Google Images search on his name to get a taste. If you've never seen his work you owe it to yourself. I especially LOVE his tree trunk turning into a building. I find those blends fascinating which may be why the Greenman image or woodspirits fascinate me so much, or Escher's work where one thing morphs into another. VERY cool.

I didn't take your post as disrespectful at all Tommy - just wanted to add a different perspective. I found the Tree of Life sculture (even though it isn't wood) to be very much like Uelsmann's work. I have seen it in person and you actually go inside of it if I am recalling correctly. It was very cool.

Anyway - it's all good.
