I just got some 'Top Saver' to try out on my tools. I don't get a lot of rust on my saws, being in the desert, but I do get some discoloring and a very small amount of rust, some of which is just from the oil in your fingers....anyway, I followed the directions, easy to put on, wipe off in about 5 minutes and it leaves a nice looking finish and its slick! Have some 'blade saver' coming, have been having some problems with my bandsaw blade filling up with sawdust packed in, this stuff is supposed to clean it and keep it clean for awhile...will post about it after I try it. This 'top saver' isn't new..just new to me, have heard others talk about it so I finally got around to trying it...I like it....if you want to see what it is..its at http://www.empiremfg.com/

Thanks Hi Ho, I haven't heard of it before. I've been just wiping down my blades with a light oil once in a while. Finger prints can turn into rust spots too easy. Must look for it here and give it a try. Bob

Tell them Dave sent you ha ha.....as for oil, have always been a little afraid to put stuff on the blade, afraid it might discolor the wood! Especially basswood, it is so light to start with. :P If this blade saver works as advertized...it will be the answer.
