Nope, maybe 1 of the rat, it's a line drawing, side profile pattern book. Same with the 95 Santa pattern book. That is the way Tom carves, side pattern only. Corey

Thanks Cory. So it does not have photos of the finished carvings at all?? Just some line patterns? Can someone recommend a good book with lots of animal figures (photos of finished carvings) and patterns? Thanks Mike

Mike, no it's just a pattern book. He published it as a request for more patterns so he got together a bunch of his patterns he has drawn over the years. Full of dog, bear, foxes, coons etc. It's a good pattern book and it would probably require you to do a little research on a particular subject prior to carving. If you check out his DVD's ( at smokey mountain carvers) you can basically get an idea how he carves a hound dog, bear etc. His Houndog, Bear and Bunnies books have great pics of his finished animals. They are primarily caricatures but can be made realistic fairly easy. For Realistic animal books, Desiree Hajny is about tops there. Corey

Thanks Corey I really like his carving and thought I found the motherload in the 108 pattern book. Unfortunately I can draw basic patterns half way decent its the photos of the finished carvings that I really learn alot from. I was hoping I could see alot of animal caricatures in one spot. Maybe I ll start with his dog book unless someone else has a suggestion.
