Default Tip for pocketing small whittling projects

I hate sitting or standing around doing nothing. So, I keep at least one small piece of wood--usually no bigger than 2"x2"x3/4"--in my pocket with my pocket knife so I can carve wherever I am.

I find that after having a partially complete carving in my pocket for a few days, it starts to get dirty from the dye in the pants. I usually keep my glove with me but not always.

So my tip is I keep the small carving and my pocket knife in my glove in my pocket. It's all together when I want it and the carving stays clean.

Great tip Bob except I'll leave those whittle bears to you experts. I usually keep a 3-4" bear with my Carvin' Jack, Glove and thumb guard in my pants pockets. I like to wear cargo jeans when we go places and my little whittlin' kit fits very nicely in one of the leg pockets!
