Default Three carvings

It's been a while for me on this board so I apologize. I finally got back to my regular carving about two weeks ago and I went at it with a passion. ed are three characters all in poplar. They stand between 3-4 feet tall. You'll see some hints of paint under the oil, laquer and satin wax...something new I'm trying. I'll do my best to get back into the discussions, please be patient with me as work is coming home with me lately.

Great carvings Patrick! I like the eyes and noses on your carvings! Very good detail! I know what it is like to have work get in the way of your carvings. Please post when you can. Again, nice work!

Good to have you back Patrick, I see you have been practicing! Well done, actually, very well done! Now if we can only get you to carve the rest of their bodies!!! LOL

Good to see you posting again.

Thanks everyone. It's nice to receive the encouragement again. The finish looks a little wet yet as the satin wax wasn't wiped off completely in places. I noticed that the subject line in the gallery says carved..in..wax. The the amount of carvings I have in my files I tend to distinguish each folder with different characteristics or types of woods. As for these three, I used a recipe I learned from Mark G from his woodspirit tutorial, hence the wax in the title.
