Default "Thought is would never happen to me"

Hi gang,
Well here I sit this morning a little taken back and a little scared. Saturday morning I arose had a coffee and walked the dog came back in sat down and was having my morning coffee and reading my carving book trying to decide what I wuld carve today when all of a sudden I felt very funny sweat poured from me I was soaked there was a tightness in
my chest and my pulse very rapid I drove myself to the hospital about 20 miles away. Well I just got out yesterday they think I have had a heart attack. I am now home they have my pulse and heart regulated and everything seems back to normal. Now I have to go for all the tests to see what happened. You think it will never happen to you its always the other guy. I go to the gym five days a weeks and thought I looked after myself fairly well but I guess not. Just thought I would let you know in case I am not on here as much once they decide what to do with me.
Colin :'(

Good luck with your tests! I'm glad you were able to go straight to the hospital and not just discount the pain as nothing. Many people wait too long and then could not have reported to us. You'll be in my prayers.

I wish you luck in your recovery and future treatments. Knowledge of the problem will help relieve some of your stress. May I suggest a good web site for you to read. http://www.internetwks.com/owen/HeartCure.htm . Take care of yourself.

sorry to hear about your episode on the week-end it can be a scary thing.but knowledge is a good thing now you & your doctors are aware and you can take the neccessary measures to see it does't repeat.my father in law had his heart attack at 55 and he lasted for 32yrs until something else got him.
so colin take care and take heart that with the proper care and treatment you will be carving tree spirits for a long time

Boy Colin, I'm sorry to hear about that. I'm glad you're feeling better now.

My father in law went to the hospital one morning about a year ago with what he thought was gas, turned out to be a heart attack. You just never know when something like that might happen. ???

You take care of yourself. It sounds like your in good shape, so I'm sure you'll be back to normal in no time.

You'll be in our thoughts.

Chris

Colin, I'm so terribly sorry to hear what happened. I will be praying for you, in fact, I'm sure so many prayers are going out right now that if prayers, hopes and good wishes alone could do it you'd be totally well right this minute!! Callynne

Colin my friend, take care of yourself, and unfortunately, we don't have the knowledge to do anything but listen to the doctors...but this I know beyond a reasonable doubt, the bible says we are appointed a time to die, I believe that we can make our time miserable if we choose, but I do not believe that time will come until the good Lord says so!! Period! I truly believe that, the book says so and the book has never lied to me! OK that said, if we have things yet to do, we will be here to do them!! but if we are done here, and have accepted what the Lord has done for us, taken our punishment on himself, then we know where we are going and it is greater than we can ever imagine!! please forgive me for preaching, but I not only believe this, I know it in my heart, eye has not seen nor ear heard what the Lord has for those that love him....so be of good cheer my friend, enjoy what the Lord has for you, including whatever time you have left, and look forward to the greatest time, in the next life...because Colin, I will meet you there when the time comes whether or not we meet in this life...I will pray for you, be happy, great things are coming, this is a wonderful life, we have wonderful friends and many are right here on this forum, even tho we have never met in person!! And many on here will be praying for you too, I am also very sure of that!
