Default Thought I wood try a little bark carving...

Since the show I have been kinda busy but have wanted to carve some bark. Well I had a few pieces and thought I would give it a go. This is my first attempt at carving bark. I modified a Harold Enlow pattern of the Tree Troll with the addition of the sun to fill the void at the top. It looks like the little fella is enjoying the sunshine...Let me know what ya`ll think...Thanks Bruce

Bruce,
I remember that face! It reminds me of my early days of carving.
You did a fantastic job and I really like the personal touches that you added to make it your "own", and to find your style. That face just makes me want to smile, and am sure will bring smiles for years to come.
Jim

I looked at the pictures before I read your post Bruce and I said holy cow thats a Harold Enlow.
Man you really did an excellent job with him, did you enjoy the bark? I find it very easy to work.
Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Bruce....great little carving you have there! What a happy face! You did a beautiful job on him, and finished him beautifully, as well. Anyone would be proud to own that little fella. Glad to hear you had fun at the show, too. You have a lot of talent there! Bonnie
