Default Is there such a thing to burn?

I am sure this has probably been asked before, but.... I am wondering if there is such a thing as a burning tool that burns little hearts etc. Curtis made a couple of burning tools that burned different size of circles.. Am I going too far fetched to think that some smart person out there has invented a burning tool with different small things on it..? Charlotte

Thanks Al, I checked the address you put in but I didn't see anything but the burning sets with tips etc... I have a Detailer with the regular tips.. I just wanted to make quite a few little hearts on a Santa I am doing now and thought it sure would be nice to have a special tip that burned hearts etc.. , sense my hand is not all that steady..
I sure do like your fish.. it's very realistic.. nice work..Charlotte

Mrs Gibbs,

Creative Hot Marks makes a burner that has a heart shape tip plus others. The only problem is the hearts are about a 1/4 inch . Originally made for Scrapbookers but the pen does get hot enough to burn wood.
I will find you a web site that has it.
Edited:
Its made by Walnut Hollow....they also have the Creative Versamark Tool which gets a lot hotter and is more like a Wood burner tool...while this one can burn wood, it doesn't get quite as hot

if you wanted a stamp/punch and didn't want to burn it, Tandy probably has one for leather.

Oh Charlotte -- I sent you an email just before I read this. Is your Detailer made by Colwood? Colwood will make custom tips for you. The info is in the letter I sent you.
I'm sorry I'm so slow. Jerry and I are trying to get stuff down loaded so we can get this #*^%##* machine to the repair shop tomorrow.

Thanks Hugh but I have a Colwood Burner and the tips wouldn't match and I checked and didn't see anything but regular tips..

Kenny, I checked the Creative Hot Marks and I think I will order the package of tips etc. A fourth of an inch would be just about what I would want..That sounds great!

Hi Ho.. the poblem with a punch would be the curves of a hat , I am afraid I wouldn't be so steady with a Santa on his side and a punch in hand.. oops.. off comes the nose. lol

Nancy, Yes , I got your letter and mine is a Colwood.. I thank you for the telephone number and I am going to call tomorrow to inquire about the custom made tips..Sounds promising.. Good luck with your computer.

Thanks everyone for your help and now I have some leads..this is a wonderful and informative board and I really appreciate your help.. Charlotte

Hi Charlottle, Razertip will create a special pen, and they also sell an insert for the end of the pen so you can use it with the detailer. We bought one for one of my carving students that has a detailer. if you e-mail them they are quite obliging.
