Default Re: Is there really such a thing as a Master Carver?

Just thought that I'd throw my 10 cents worth in! I ain't met any master carvers yet but years ago I remember a guy walking up to my Dad who spent 40-years in the plumbing-steamfitting-pipefitting trade and asking him if he was a master plumber. He simply replied that he was not because he was still learning. Needless to say I've never considered myself a master in anything... a jack of all trades but a master of none!

Eddy,
Yes I believe there is such a thing as a master carver, If the person is good and is a teacher. And is willing to teach us new comers. Then they are masters. When I say teacher I mean a indivual who has the most interest in woodcarving and is willing in sharing his or her talant. God Bless them!
Let them be a master, We need them!
Steve
