Default A tedious carve..

Hello everyone! I thought I would share what I have been doing the past week. This was a very tedious carving job for me, probably because it is just 8" X 10" and the paint job was so detailed. I sure hated to do that carving and then cover it up with paint, but that is what the customer wanted. Your comments are welcome. I especially would like to hear what you all consider to be this carvings weak points......I know, I'm really asking for it!

Millard, absolutely fantastic, you gotta be kidding, how could anyone find fault with that piece. I'm surprised it only took a week, that would be a years work for me.

The execution is top rate.

I'm certainly no expert, but since you asked.......... In the design the only thing that bothers me is the fat haunches of the unicorn. But that is just personal preference.

I know unicorns are supposed to be white but that white grabs the eye too strongly. Perhaps a little white on the left side to balance it or a light stain on the white to bring it into harmony with the other colors.

It's a wonderful piece and your customer will be proud to own it.
