Default Surfacing Again

Hi all -

Here I come, surfacing once again. I've had over a month of company - my daughter and grandson came at the end of July, my grandson stayed with me for the whole month of August, and my son and his girlfriend were just here for a week and then took my grandson back home again. I had a great time getting to see everyone, and loved having Keenan all to myself for a month. They all left on Sunday and I immediately went to bed. Just got up today :-)

It's been a whirlwind, but great fun. The silence is good, too, though. Now let's see....where did I put those carving tools?

Teri

Good to see you surface again Teri,

Kids (grown) and grandkids (of any age) are a real blessing and reward for us having survived life until now. They are such a double joy--joy to have them visit and joy to have them go home and you can reclaim your life.

Can't wait to see your next carving project--are you sure a week of sleep is enough? hAppy Carving!

Good heavens, no - a week of sleep isn't enough. I'm still dragging around, trying to figure out where all my vim and vigor (yeah, right) got off to. I'm not feeling particularly inspired to carve much, and so of course am not very happy with the pieces I've done lately. A million deadlines to meet and I'm just blah humbug.

I will pop off a minute, though - look at the front cover of that "OTHER" magazine (Carving Magazine, Issue #12), just out. I feel so honored to get a piece on the COVER - and the collector that owns that piece is quite thrilled about it, too.

I'm not sure Art and I are EVER awake at the same time

Teri

Good to see you back Terri. Congratulations ma'm! The cover no less. Well deserved, in my humble opinion. Your works are masterpieces and deserves to be seen by a wider audiance. Well done. The West coast has been good for you!
