Default Summer woodcarving classes in Vermont

I have no connection to this operation other than thinking about attending one of their carving programs this summer. Fletcher Farm School is only a couple-hour drive from my home, at the other end of the state.
It is located in (yet another!) lovely part of Vermont.

I thought others might like to see what they have to offer.

Wayne Barton is teaching a course on chip carving in August. His books are excellent for both technique and ideas. If it were closer, I wouldn't miss it!

I think Wayne Barton is actually doing two different sessions there this summer.

I had to choose between his chip carving and the acanthus carving with Al Miller. It's indeed a tough choice, but if I end up going it'll be to the acanthus carving one.

Anyone who has watched my posts over the past couple of years can see that I'm a pushover for all things acanthus.

My kids have long since gotten tired of playing "Find the acanthus" with dad wherever we happen to be.
"See.They are everywhere!" I tell them.
"Yes, dad, we know." they respond with the roll of their eyes...

:-)
