Question Strange Thing -

Last night I received an email (photos attached) from a woman who had just bought 3 beautiful chip carved plates at an estate auction in Texas. They were undated but signed Nancy Goff.
She started searching the 'net and found me, a woodcarver, so was certain I had done the plates.
Has anyone ever heard of another Nancy Goff, wood carver?
I suggested she send the photos to Chip Chats. Any other ideas?

A couple years ago, Nancy, I was doing a search for some of your work and stumbled onto another "N. Goff" or someone with a closely similar name, but I can't for the life of me remember where, or how I got there. Be thankfull, I think the only places you're apt to find names closely matching mine are on wanted posters! hehehe

Anyway, I did come across that, way back!

Nancy,

I hate to tell you this, but you're not alone! Did an Infospace search on "Goff, Nancy" and found 42 of you in the US. Can you believe what it would be like to have all 42 on this board????

HiLOW ......
That's one of the funniest lines I've ever read here and that's going a stretch.

It's been a long, hard day and I needed the laugh. Thanks.

You should be so lucky. My name is shared by two people locally all making the news for crimes. One for crimes against minors, who works in my field. It causes a lot of problems until their picture is shown. It compels people to ask, "do you know him?" Then your "friends" identify you as "Ken ----, not the ----" Get a nickname, it helps.

With the legs that Nancy showed us, I think the nickname should be "Grable".
