Stores in Southern Ontario?

Hi folks,

Weather is frustrating me and I may not be able to make the hour drive to Kitchener tomorrow (I MUST FIND a place that sells Flexcut's mini series knives!).

The only local store (Southern Ontario/Burlington, Oakville/Mississauga) that sells any reasonable number of tools is Lee Valley and they only carry partial lines. There's a few stores East and west of me, but it's a good solid drive and with my wife sick at home most of the time, I can't head out that far.

I know I can order in, but I like handling tools, asking questions, etc. Can anyone recommend stores in my general vicinity?

Sorry Howie about your luck but dont think there is any store other than lee valley Use to have nutmeg but they went to an online store instead. I know what you are talking about I want to feel and handle something before I buy it . goodluck

I know what you are feeling but the best way to get good tools and good service is to get things that other people recommend, that means for me shipping it in and shipping is not cheap. But I have wasted a lot of money trying to purchase what I thought I wanted here in the islands, but found out later, that there are outstanding tools, wood, and service from the places people recommend the most.... I have got some super junk wood from the only supply store here in the islands, plus outrageous costing tools. I was really worried about ordering from the mainland USA, as I could not see what I was buying, but read tons of articles put my faith in the people in here, and I have not been sorry since. Just my opinion feel free to trash it ...smile Di
