Default Statesville Stylized carvings

Id carved a quick 6 1/2 inch basswood beaver Thursday and it won along with a angel fish that won in Novice? and in Open a man had carved a old stump with a full horn and one broken off to form a old skull. Plus this wonderfull bust carving,Ive seen before, its very nice.

Just a really neat and fun show! Plus at noon, all the food there was cooked at peoples homes GOODddddddddddd!!!!

Statevilles is a smaller town near Hickory NC,about two hrs over the mtns for us. Going to a TN show next month! So I have to get off here and start on some type of carving for in the open divison theres people thats been carving 25 ys or more and totally master carvers. And Ribbons there will be tough to earn.

Hope you have enjoyed the picts.

Forrest

Forrest, I'm sure enjoying all these pictures from the show. I would so love to attend something like that someday.I think the nearest carving club around here is about 120 miles away. Maybe they have a show. Guess I'll have to find out! thanks for posting all the pictures.
