Default Stag-beetle in Ebony

I carved this stag beetle about a week just to see how good ebony was at holding detail (very good as it turns out) but didnt really know what to do with him. That is until my log of box wood arrived and i thought he would look nice stood on a leaf. The whole thing is 2 1/4 inchs X 1 1/2 inchs and i used beeswax for the finish. All comments welcome as usual.

Fly, I didn't know beetles could be so beautiful. Looks like the Ebony's tight grain structure hold sdetail very well.

Love it, Tom
