Super! Where did you get the rough out? I do like his style and would like to try one myself.

Nancy,

I did his seminar about 4 weeks ago. You can go to his web site, www.davidsabol.com and contact him through his email address. This is a newer piece of his "Nature Series" so you won't see it listed yet, but he responds to his email. I also picked up his "Bunnies in Leaves" piece that I will be working on next, its a wall mounted piece.

With your love of carving animals, you'll love his nature series collection.

Good luck and enjoy carving, I really enjoy your pieces so keep posting pictures.

Bill nice work on the carving. I agree I like your painting. With the water based stain do you have to use a special cleaner to clean your brushes and what color of stain do you use.

Bill,
Beautiful job carving and painting! I love it. I really like the way you painted the leaves too. Really nice.

Bill,

Great carving and painting, you really captured Dave Sobol's technique!

Bill, I'll have to give this a try, not something I've done before. I really like the effect you get.

Bill,
Wonderful, wonderful, carving really well done. Now if I could carve large mushrooms like that maybe my customer would have been happy the first time.
