Default Spoons,Finished just in time

I finished these up yesterday morning. Not as cleaned up as I would have liked, but their done. I wanted them smooth as a babies butt, but settled for cellulite! No splinters, so that's as good as it gets. Least my family members won't have to wait to get them next years Christmas. Still have some to finish for a few friends, but they gotta wait. Finished them first with veggie oil, then walnut oil. The lighter colored woods are oak. The darker ones are chinkapin. The little scoop in the 1st picture, bottom left corner is acacia.Merry Christmas!

Oh Sharon! Which one is mine Girlfriend?! They turned out wonderful! Your camping trip came full circle! I hope you had a wonderful wonderful Christmas with lots of hugs and kisses from youre fam! Now, close your eyes...stretch your arms out wide and bring them in tight! Wrap them around your shoulders! Do this several times and know you have much love coming in your way!
We have snow BABY!

Hi Sharon, those are so nice. and so many shapes. While I've been thinking about them, you've been doing them. That's great.

Thanks for the nice comments, Uncle Dave(good job on 1st post), Bob,Bruce,ToyCarver(spoons are really fun to make),Keoma(one for you in the very near future, got lots of hugs and kisses and gooood food, wore dress and leggings-about the same gut expansion as sweats! We got hail, wind and rain),Ron,( Carve some, they were relaxing and pretty quick to do with power.Still rounding up sticks for you, I haven't forgotten, just lots to do.) I have kutzall burrs I used in my die grinder and dremel to rough them out. Did some non power hand carving, when it was to cold to use power outside. I also hand sanded with various grits of sandpaper and scotch pads. Glad you all liked them and hope you're inspired to give them a try. hope you all had a great day today!

I love the rustic natural look of your spoons. Reminds of ones my Grandmother used.
