Spokane Show

The Spokane Washington "Artistry in Wood" show is coming up this weekend and I'm looking forward to going. I was there two years ago and enjoyed it. It's a bit of a trip for us (400 miles) but the weather looks good and we will take our camper and make a nice little autumn trip of it.

Tom Ellis (a regular on this forum) will be the featured artist this year. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Tom's good work.

Dave, I hope I get to meet you. I won't be around much on Saturday but will be there most of Sunday afternoon. Have Tom point me out and I'll do the same.

I'll be entering 4 or 5 things. Hope the judge is kind (lol).

I'm sure I will enjoy it Forrest. If this country wasn't so big I go to some of those shows in your part of the country so I could meet you too. I will try some pictures but my camera is limited and unless the light is good it doesn't do well. Flash pictures of carvings ain't so good.

Joe, for some reason I thought you lived in Spokane. I think it is really neat that Tom is the featured artist. Congrats Tom! I suppose I'll have to wait in line to talk to you now - haha ..it'll be worth it. ;-)

No Kris, I've never lived in Spokane. Haven't really been there that often. Can hardly find my way around in the big city being a country boy from Montana. I think it's nice for Tom too, he deserves it.

They will be waiting in line to see my carvings (lol) but not me. See you there.

Art & I are still working on getting to the Spokane Show. Looks like a few others will be going from the message board. We are looking forward to meeting those of you that will be there. If we don't make it there most of the vendors know us and can let you know one way or the others! (Congrats Tom on being the featured artist! ) Good Luck to all of you that are entering carvings!

Dorothy & Art, hope you can make the show. I am feeling kind of nervous about entering anything. It was much easier when nobody knew me! I guess I feel like I am happy with my carving and I am the one that will have to look at it day after day...so maybe that's all that matters. I forgot to pre-register, guess I'll be standing in line for that too.
