I havent figured out how to carve the five way jointed doll yet. But I do carve 6 inch dolls and use elastic for joints. Here is one fella I sold two weeks ago. We call him the General.

Or how about carving Dancing Dans or string puppets?

xsailor,
I ran across a site and wish I had saved it. Anyone, does Boreman or something close ring a bell. His art is in the Smithtonian, little steam locomotives carved out of ivory. The little things are functional. Just looking at the teeneweenie little detail is mind boggeling.

I got to thinking about me wanting to quit a piece or picture that I'm doing, compared myself and wondered if he ever gave up on a project??

Of course you could always carve ya a sea going bellhop and place him in your workspace to keep it safe, ha! Semper Fi!!

So many ideas floating around in my mind, I just find it hard to settle on one! consider what you like best, what's your passion and try something related to that! Something you have never attempted before, but something you always wanted to be able to do!

Go for it!

Bob
