thanks for the kind remarks. Callyenne, he does kinda look like Charlie doesn't he... my wife thought he looked like someone closer to home, a fella she used to provide home care for so she named him Earl in his memory even though it was just a scratch carving with no likeness attempted.

Bob I started carving back in the days when it was acceptable to hand a boy a sharp knife to entertain himself. Like all that sort of thing though it got put on hold for several years and just picked it up again about 10 years ago. I think I will stick with it this time.

Yeah Dave, I remember as a boy I always carried a pocket knife (and still do). I don't think most boys today know what a pocket knife is and if they carried one it wouldn't be for entertainment.

Really nice job. Earl does kind of look like Heston.
