Default Some coffee scoops

Here are a couple of coffee scoops I just finished out of basswood. The Del Stubbs hook knife is great. Looks great, cuts great, feels great. Thanks to Carl and his recommendation! I also used my superball sander on these and that also worked well. Granted these are basswood, but I was able to complete two in half the time it has taken me to do one before with these new tools. Carving and sanding the bowl of the spoons was easily less than an hour, which will let me spend more time focusing on some of the design elements. Did I mention I really like the hook knife?

They look really nice. I like the smoothness and the contoured shape. I bought the Stubbs knives and have not had time to use them yet, glad to hear you like them...I hope I can come up with something as nice as yours.

Great looking scoops. I haven't tried one in basswood yet but that might be the route to take if I end up doing a zillion of them for Christmas presents. Nice job!
