Any ideas on fake snow for a carved scene. Talking about snow piled up on the surface of the base or around a tree trunk. |

Most craft stores will sell crushed glass, it is almost a powder consistency. Sprinkle a bit on the paint while it is wet and it will give you the sparkle of new fallen snow.

A hobby shop that sells train items will have Woodland Scenics items. They make a very nice snow for RR winter scenes.

I've used a rough cut rotary tool that left quite a bit of fuzz on the area used to effect snow. When the shape is done, leave the fuzz alone and apply finish. It looked good when done. Couple this with a finish of metal flake paint or use the crushed glass noted in Pauls note and it should look great. Bob |
