All kidding aside, he has so much character and I love the perfect knots betwen the eyes. You did plan that right?
Speaking of staining if you could get your hands on some wood stains of various colors you could make them work for you. I know you can!

Carving birds we use study bills for reference, wonder if they sell study noses, grin. How about a tutorial on noses. ???
