Default Small female with Shamrock

Tried something different. Here is a small female face in birch. The shamrock was an after thought to spice it up a bit.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

Thanks Feb. Not sure what to do with the eyes...I typically burn them in but I wanted to see how it would look left as is. Yes she does have a glowing look in the eyes - not sure why. Perhaps it will appeal to someone who wants to purchase it...provide a story to go with the glowing eyes.

Nice face Patrick. You've captured the soft female look.

SUCH~~~ A great carving Patrick! I think her eyes are closed due to her being so shy! I'd leave them just as they are! The shamrock is also a nice added touch~ Great work.........Tenn

Thumbs up Re: Small female with Shamrock

I admire anyone who can capture the female face so good .. and you certainly did ... I have struggled with that for years ... all mine look like guy's with wigs on ...

Great job Patrick

Patrick, shes beautiful I like the eyes closed--gives even more interest to her face. Good job! Don't burn a thing.

No burning! This face is very nearly a Greek classic, and if you look, most Grecian statues just had blank orbs for eyeballs, and looked very good.

In other words - if it ain't broke, why fix it?

I have to agree with the orb like eyes too. I like how she is set deep into the log also. Great work!
