A very generous lady found out that my daughter is doing some carving with me for her 4H project and later dropped off her pfiel tools for her to use and keep. If any of you have this brand of tools, you know how valuable they are. So now my daughter has her own starter set of tool and borrows fewer of mine. This small female face is a small token of my appreciation as she wouldn't take any money for the tools. I treated the white birch with oil and sealer only. The finish has signs of dark and light areas which came out as the sealer dried which was disappointing. Anyway, I hope she likes this mantle style (somewhat ethnic) carving for her office at the senior volunteer centre she works at. Patrick Last edited by Irishman; 04-26-2009 at 09:28 AM. |

Very nice and what a wonderful person to give your daughter tools, great face, you don't normally work this small do you Patrick? I have the same problem with the birch staining like that. Carl
