| | small carvings Haven't carved much over the wk end nor today but did get in some smaller ones.
The disc are cut from larger laurel tree branches. They are 1 3/4 inches, the bears are relief carved in them. Will make pins out of them. I have 8 more carved but not painted yet, will finish them soon.
The little men are carved from bass, 2 or 2 1/2 inches tall.Key chains can be used with these. A Wizard,Mtn Man & a Hobo.
The two standing bears are 2 inches. Will make pins also out of them.
Just some fun little projects, Thanks for your comments or thoughts.

| | Re: small carvings Aha! There you are, my friend! Good to see you posting again. If a day goes by with no "Forrest" post, we think you're sick....lol. You "didn't do much carving over the weekend"?? What are those 10 little things I see. Sure looks like a bunch of lil' carvings to me! They are such cute lil' things, and as pins, they should sell like hotcakes at the fairs. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite, so I think I'll stare at them awhile...lol....Bonnie |

| | Re: small carvings Bonnie,I should have finished all of them last Friday. Had to wear my hand brace all wk end,the carpal tunnel and where Ive broken knuckes and bones in my right hand several times, hard to carve wearing that brace.
But Im glad you liked them my old friend. Think after this show in June,I will see if I can get my hand fixed. Ive got alot more to get done in 2 wks but alot of it will just be painting now,so that will be easier than carving. I appreciate you for ckn out theses and thank you for your nice thoughts and input. Hanging like a monkey in a tree, getting hot here in the mtns of Tennessee~ Forrest

| | Re: small carvings Forrest, Really nice small stuff. You've a style all your own. But I think you've let the cat out of the bag. When you carve the small stuff, you can do lots more in the same time it takes to do the bigger stuff. It sure is fun though, isn't it. especially when the results are as nice as yours.
