Simplyme, Don't get your hopes up. Its not a woodcarving show, but an annual fall festival. Its at the Queens Farm Museum. Lots of things for the kids. The local clubs display their works and there is an art competition but it is definitly not a woodcarving show. Lots of vendors, petting zoo, farm demonstrations, food booths etc. Its Sat and Sun and the local carving clubs each have a day. Bill K. |

I went last year and Bill is right, it was a huge waste of time. Plus they had the nerve to charge $6.00 or $8.00 to get in. Dave |

That kinda puts a damper on my weekend. I was looking forward to this for the past few months. They do not have many shows here in NY.

Sorry about the damper. Its notr all that bad. You never indicated that you hooked up with the carving club in NHP or Queens. Since you talked about Sun at Queens Farm I think you got your info from the Queens clup. You can always hang with a few carvers for the day. The Fair is really not bad. Lots of things to see. Unfortunately, not all woodcarving. Good day to be outdoors. Hope it works out. Bill K. |

I went to the Queen's Farm Fair today with my wife and BIL. I attended my first meeting with the NHP carving club this week, so I wanted to go and see them at the fair. It was nice to see a few of the fellows. They had some great work to look at and it was cool to see people stopping to see them and asking questions. We spent some more time walking the farm, listening to music, and grabbing a bite to eat. Gorgeous day here and we're glad we went. I hope you enjoy your day if you go tomorrow. Regards, Scott from LI |
