I'm attempting to carve about 16 figureheads for a maritime display, but to suceed I need help with obtaining any plans or drawings of ships figureheads, preferably with some history of the ship. Â*The finished carvings will be about 45cm tall. Â*
Can anybody help?
Sounds like fun, check out your local library, they should have some books on ship carvings. Also the Mariners Museum in New Port News, Virgina as a great display of originals.
How did you make out on your project? Do you have any photos you could share with us. I am curious as to which ships figureheads you did. There are so many out there, if you know where to look.
Bob
