Default Ships Figurehead Carving- Norman Gaches
I stumbled upon this site that while surfing for carving history. Since it is on tripod delete the history to prevent future popups. Gaches is one of the last of a rare breed of shipcarvers.

Wow, neat site, beautiful work! Thanks for sharing it. That goes into the favorites file for further study. Now....if I can only figure out how to shrink his carving down to my scale, I'll be laughing!
