I am in awe. I adore her. She has a most roman nose! very nicely done. I have always wanted to carve one of these, they are my woodcarving passion from back when I was a little girl. Good gawd you id a great job lifting her hair from her brow-it really has some body! I have a book with pictures of really really old figure heads in it. If you like, I can scan them?
ok-ideas...she needs some cheekbones and a more definitive line to sepperate her mouth and cheeks.
I am loathe to mention it, but I stuck an image of myself in the reference section? It may be of some help to you. It has helped me to see what I am doing and what I need to do.
Her breasts...though proud...are pretty melony? lol...sorry...for lack of a better term? Do you have a front image and will she have a collar bone and a sternum?
I am not critisizing, believe me, the day I am this good I will be thrilled!!! She is amazing. Brilliant Congratulations. This is serious ART!

thanks for the input on my lady,,,i,ve gotta say of anything i,ve ever carved she,s drawn the most attention of any,,i,ve had request to add all sorts of amusing details(use ur imaginaion)but i,m hoping with some diff colour stains and a leaning forward pose on a base she,ll look similar to a figure head, this isnt a repro, its all out of my head,so details like faces can be tricky,,,at my studio(shelbrune barrel fac)i,ve had tourist taking pics with her all summer,(some not so focused on sculpture, lol)but shes been fun, thanks for the tips,
