Default Serrated knives????

Hey Gang, I have a rather bazarr question. With all the specialized knives out there, has anyone ever thought about using serrated knives ( saw toothed ) for like cleaning out final cuts or something? I don't know maybe a crazy idea, but if I could get some thoughts on the idea.

The only thing I've used a serrated knife for was stripping the bark and only because it was handy.
I'm curious what others have to say also.

Never tried them on wood but they take so long to sharpen that I would stick to something that can be easily stropped.

Well that was a bit of a surprise to see that thread. Only last week, I was thinking almost the same thing. Wouldn't it be handy to have, like, a mini-saw. Like you might find on a penknife. I agree it would be a pain in the rear end to sharpen, but then again I've never sharpened my saw. Not sayin' it doesn't need it, though. But yeah, sometimes I'd like a knife that was a saw.

Rooster.

I think they are available but I've cut down jig saw blades to fit a Warren handle as a small saw - it works fine.
