Thanks everyone for the nice comments! I'm glad you all think ye looks like he needs to get to a bathroom...that was my intention! Kathy, I do used a 50/50 mixture of BLO and mineral spirits. To that I added about 50/50 raw sienna and burnt umber oil paint. I didn't want the antique to be too heavy so I added just enough of the oil paint to darken the BLO/mineral spirits mixture. I didn't use exact measurements of everything...just estimated and flew by the seat of my pants...I hope I explained it okay.
