Any clubs or mentors near North Potomac, Maryland 20878 USA where he lives?

He is an executive for a multi-national over from the UK for a few years. Age 33 approx

We are always carving at the shop on the weekends if we are not at shows. Everyone is always welcome. Not really a carving club but everyone helps everyone else. This time of year not as many carvers as spring means work around the house(unless they are over the shop hiding from thier wives).

The Carroll Carvers Club meets in Westminster, MD on the 4th Saturday of the month. We have recently started meeting at the Robert Moton Center, there. Here is a website for our club. CARROLLCARVERS Our annual show is coming up on April 16th. That would be a good opportunity to meet some the members and get acquainted with the club.

Alternatively, the Northern Virginia Carvers meet on Thursday nights in the Washington, DC suburbs. http://www.northernvirginiacarvers.org/main/nvcHome.php

These are the closest ones that I know of.

Thanks for the links. I live in Frederick. Been to the Woodcraft in Lessburg. drove by the one Springfield. Work the Dulles Toll Road Coorridor. Westminster might work out for me.
