Default Sea turtle

Well, I have the sea turtle to the point where I just have a few final touches and then the paint job.....is on my picturetrail under woodcarvings if you care to see it...a tip, for some reason a photo of a carving shows things that you don't see holding the carving in your hand.....maybe if gives you a different kind of perspective, not sure but does point out things I didn't want to see! LOL

Great job Hi Ho! The face has character. Interesting subject turtles, don't see many done. Keep up the good work.

Hey Big Brother, you did really, really good!! I sure can't see what it is that you don't like about it! I'm looking forward to seeing it painted! For some reason I like turtles and frogs, but only if they are realistic looking, which your turtle certainly is! Great job! Callynne

See turtle??? Of course I see turtle, Dave, ya just posted a couple pictures of one. Looks like the ocean going variety. And a nice rendition if I do say so. A couple years back my brother and I saw several of these in the San Gabriel River in Long Beach. They were swimming upstream in the lower mile or so of the river, before it hit the "concrete ditch" portion. Your's looks just like 'em! Well done!

Beautiful Sea Turtle! We've had a few of them come up to us while kayaking in the Gulf of Mexico and yours looks just like them! Nice work!

thanks everyone...the fun part will be the painting, they look kind of like a kaleidoscope with all the colors! I originally wanted to leave it natural except for a light stain, but the dark streak that came out in the top of the shell canceled that out! best laid plans and all that! lol

Dont know what you see about it in the photo you dont like. Great carving Dave you have done a magnificent job. You know you are the only one that see's what you dont like about the carving the rest of us think its great. That is the way I am with my carvings I see all the things I dont like about them no one else does.
