| | Sea turtle Well, I have the sea turtle to the point where I just have a few final touches and then the paint job.....is on my picturetrail under woodcarvings if you care to see it...a tip, for some reason a photo of a carving shows things that you don't see holding the carving in your hand.....maybe if gives you a different kind of perspective, not sure but does point out things I didn't want to see! LOL |

| | Re: Sea turtle Hey Big Brother, you did really, really good!! I sure can't see what it is that you don't like about it! I'm looking forward to seeing it painted! For some reason I like turtles and frogs, but only if they are realistic looking, which your turtle certainly is! Great job! Callynne |

| | Re: Sea turtle See turtle??? Of course I see turtle, Dave, ya just posted a couple pictures of one. Looks like the ocean going variety. And a nice rendition if I do say so. A couple years back my brother and I saw several of these in the San Gabriel River in Long Beach. They were swimming upstream in the lower mile or so of the river, before it hit the "concrete ditch" portion. Your's looks just like 'em! Well done!

| | Re: Sea turtle thanks everyone...the fun part will be the painting, they look kind of like a kaleidoscope with all the colors! I originally wanted to leave it natural except for a light stain, but the dark streak that came out in the top of the shell canceled that out! best laid plans and all that! lol |
