I recently had trouble getting wood. I raided the scrap box and felt that I could get enough to put a carving to gether, it worked. I recently completed another bitsa carving. I know some carvers do carve limbs and heads separate form the torso, so its nothing new. All I'm saying is give it a try, it certainly drew my attention to the waste wood I'd previously dumped. Thats stopped. Mind being a mean Scot its added bonus is its economical . |

That's a good scrap use.I carve 2-3" boats with scraps.My father has a wood stove and when I take him some kindling it's really scraps.Tony
